Tree plantation
A greener future begins with a small step—and sometimes, that step begins with a child planting a tree.
On 5 September 2026, Lifeline Welfare Organisation brought its “One Child, One Tree” initiative to life at Totarkhil Ayesha High School, Dattapara, Chandraganj, Lakshmipur, with the support of Branding Partner Meril Baby.
The initiative was designed to create a meaningful connection between children and nature. As part of the programme, children received tree saplings along with educational materials, gifts and other supportive items, making the experience both memorable and purposeful.
The idea goes beyond planting a tree. It is about encouraging children to understand the value of nature, take responsibility for a living tree and grow with an awareness of the environment around them.
Every tree planted today can become a part of tomorrow's greener environment. By involving children directly, the initiative aims to nurture environmental responsibility from an early age.
At the same time, providing educational and supportive gifts allows the programme to contribute to children's development and well-being.
With an estimated support of ৳1,800 per child, each contribution helps provide a child with a tree sapling, plantation and maintenance support, educational materials, gifts and other necessary assistance.
The 5 September programme was only the beginning.
One Child, One Tree is an ongoing initiative that aims to reach more children, plant more trees and create more meaningful opportunities for communities across Bangladesh.
The vision is simple:
More children. More trees. A greener future.
Together, we can turn small acts of care into lasting change—one child and one tree at a time.
Lifeline Welfare Organisation remains committed to building a greener, more caring and sustainable future for the next generation.
