Lifeline’s Nutrition Support Program Brings Smiles to Street Children

Date: 12/07/2025

Location: Kamalapur Railway Station and Khilgaon Railway Station, Dhaka

To bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged and malnourished street children, the volunteer organization Lifeline Welfare Organisation conducted a special humanitarian initiative. On 12 July 2025, nutritious food items were distributed among more than 100 street children at Kamalapur and Khilgaon Railway Stations in Dhaka.

Growing up amid poverty, neglect, and health risks, ensuring proper nutrition for these children remains a major challenge. Considering this difficult reality, Lifeline Welfare Organisation provided essential nutritious food items including eggs, bananas, bread, and safe drinking water.

Alongside food distribution, the children were also made aware of the importance of personal hygiene and cleanliness. They were practically taught proper handwashing methods and the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy lifestyle.

A spokesperson from Lifeline Welfare Organisation said:

“This small effort reflects our moral responsibility toward the neglected children of our society. We are not only providing food but also creating health awareness among them to help build a healthier generation for the future.”

The program was supported by local volunteers and several socially conscious individuals who participated enthusiastically, making the initiative more successful.

Lifeline Welfare Organisation hopes that such humanitarian efforts will inspire more individuals and organizations to stand beside street children and contribute to building a better future for them.

Through this meaningful initiative, Lifeline Welfare Organisation has demonstrated that even a small act of kindness can create a significant positive impact in society.
